My (clickykbd) latest effort. A 67 image abstract series of a musical theme. Intended to be viewed as a slideshow with 2 second interval. Approximate viewing time: 3 minutes. All images are unedited, as they came out of the camera. I didn't even rotate any of these for reasons of the slideshow uniformity.

Not realizing it, _Nod and I both did extensive camera dropping experimentation at the same time, for this photoset was primarily taken without catching the camera too!

Among the recent pool additions, these ones really captured my attention. A couple may not stay in the pool (for they may not meet the rigid requirements), but in the spirit of tossing, these are all immaculate! Congratulations all, all new members and new to camera tossing!





Note: images 5 and 6 later admitted to not actually be tosses, but 5 was inspired by tossing, and 6 is just a lovely paint with light photo.

regarding use of flash...

Other than the fancy aerial self portrait tosses. There is this lovely way to include your own image. Just leave the flash on and hope the camera is pointing at you when it blinds you.

More often you'll probably end up with stuff like this:

Before you ask, yes, being blinded by your own camera while attempting to catch it is probably not wise, but if you are insane enough to throw it in the first place...

But seriously, camera tossing is not safe for your equipment. Please read a word of caution. Then disregard my advice and toss it anyway like i know you are going to.

A personal contribution in the form of a "series" of tosses of one subject. Mostly I was learning the tossing quirks of a new camera (Vivitar ViviCam 3615) that I have at my disposal before I attempt using it out in the world.

Not visually stunning, but this unique contribution was shot from a height of 20+ feet in the air, thrown!

Don't attempt this type of toss unless your camera remembered to wear it's parachute, as this one is!

How do you know you've started an insane photography meme. When people are doing it at church first thing on sunday morning! I was just about to pass out from sleep deprivation when this image appeared in the photo pool.

little cam, who knew...

Who knew you'd be so famous little camera. No preview, no features, nada. NTSC aspect ratio and resolution, yet you are responsible for a huge following and total reckless endangerment of cameras worth thousands more than you.

Take a bow little camera, for you deserve it.

Since the blogosphere and sites such as metafilter, fark, and boingboing have recently taken a liking to our little corner of the net, I wanted to take a moment to directly congratulate the original camera tossers. These are the folks who found my photos and thought it was cool enough to try it long before all this publicity!
